One thing we can all agree on is that this past year has been full of unexpected turns and obstacles. In spite of this, we’ve all had to learn a few lessons in order to adapt to the changing world. Adaptability is one of those lessons.
Whilst everything stops around it, a company’s vision should never stop. Whether it is professional development, location, clients, strategic planning, etc. it is important to adapt in order to grow. While certain things may be put on the backburner, there is much room for growth regardless of the world around us halting. Another lesson that has been vital this year is the importance of focusing on people. This means not just for the short term, but for the long term as well. Our team is the backbone of the work we do, and we must nurture their growth and prosperity as much as we nurture the company’s. Lastly, this year has taught us to focus on helping people achieve learning and educational goals. With the world slowing down, we’ve had more time to focus on learning development. What we’ve found is that learning is limitless and opens the door to endless possibilities. For one, we’ve had to learn the ins and outs of zoom, which has opened the door to remote work and effective partnerships globally. This is just one example of the possibilities learning can do to help us achieve our vision, and this next year we’re ready to dive in head first and see what else the world has to offer.
This past year threw a lot our way, we’ve grown and adapted, and now we’re ready to take on the new year! Here are 5 of our resolutions going into 2021:
1. Invest in Our Team
We value our team and all the hard work they do. We not only want to create a great work environment but a meaningful and enjoyable community for our employees as well. We believe it is just as important to invest in our team as it is to invest in our clients.
2. Grow Sustainably
This year we want to reach more clients; however, this must be done sustainably without compromising the quality of our service.
3. Emphasize Learning
In this field, there is always learning to be done. We are committed to providing best practices and up-to-date services, which is why we are emphasizing learning this year.
4. Continue to Prioritize Health
Covid has put a lot into perspective for us this past year. We realize now more than ever the importance of prioritizing health, and that includes not only protecting ourselves and others from Covid-19 but all the factors that contribute to our well-being. This includes focusing on mental health, physical health, and overall wellness.
5. Be Flexible!
If 2020 has taught us anything, it is the importance of being flexible. In a time of uncertainty, we must have a plan but also be able to adapt. Whether that be working remotely or stocking copious amounts of hand sanitizer, we’re ready for whatever 2021 throws our way!
We want our team to be their happiest, best selves, and in turn we will provide the highest quality work for our clients. We’re going into the new year with the intent of trying new things and growing!
“Life shrinks and expands on the proportion of your willingness to take risks and try new things.” – Gary Vaynerchuk
